Haley Lane is married to Travis Lane, who grew up in Page. She is a talented artist, seamstress, and runner, and the mother of five beautiful children. Her fourth child, Arianna, passed away last year, after a two year struggle with cancer at the young age of three. Despite the anguish Haley felt losing her child, the testimony, faith, and love she has for her Savior grew from this bittersweet experience. As her family journeyed through this tragedy Haley strengthened and uplifted people by her example and ability to exhibit joy, peace, and happiness. She has a determination to never give up and an optimistic spirit. Very rarely was Ari well enough to go home. However, the day before the St. George Marathon Haley and Ari arrived home. Haley woke the next morning, and with no time to train, ran the marathon. She did this as a tribute to Ari’s physical struggles. Then, following Ari’s death she and two of her young children ran the marathon again. Haley feels that the time she spent with Ari, as Ari endured all her young trials, has caused their relationship to be more than just mother and daughter. They have become eternally best friends through the atonement of Jesus Christ. Haley has learned many valuable spiritual and eternal lessons from her daughter and if it were not for Ari she would not have been taught these great principles.
